The highly anticipated album is a sequel to his fun, buoyant, synth- and bass heavy sounds from his first album Joytime that peaked at number 5 on Billboard’s Electronic Albums/Hot Dance albums charts. Joytime was the DJs stepping-stone to international recognition and fame. Since then he has released multiple singles, such as Silence ft. Khalid, Everday ft. Logic, that has continued to awe critics and left fans wanting more.
Unlike his previous album, Joytime II features no guests artists. The DJ has taken to social media to describe the new album as a flashback to his original sound without the pop and artist features.
The Joytime II album is a flashback to the original stuff I was putting out back in the day. No features. No pop. Just bounce & fun

@marshmellomusic “Joytime II” got me “PARALYZED” giving me “FLASHBACKS” to when I started listening to you. And gaining the “POWER” to “IMAGINE” myself “TOGETHER” with the MELLOGANG seeing you perform with such “POWER”. Your music got me on “ROOFTOPS” looking at the “STARS”
