About The Color Run
Some people are blessed with the love and ability to run anytime, anywhere. Others will only run if there’s a zombie apocalypse. No matter which category you fall in to, The Color Run is for you. Much more than simply running while wearing bright colors, The Color Run was founded in 2011 to promote health and happiness while unifying the community with no times or winners. This symbolizes positive vibes something Electro Threads stands by. The runners are covered with brightly colored power, made of cornstarch, along the way.
The very first run took place in Phoenix, Arizona, and had 6,000 participants. In 2014 alone, The Color Run held more than 300 events in 50 countries and has continued to grow every year since.
Neon and Electric Runs
Numerous events have sprung up from The Color Run idea. There is something for everyone and good times to be had by all, no matter your age or ability.
The Neon Run is a night run that’s anything but ordinary. You’ll be sprayed in neon glow body paint and powder in certain sections as you run, and you’ll experience laser lights, black lights, fog, and musical performers.
The Electric Run also takes place at night, complete with music and dance parties along the course and an even bigger party once you reach the finish line. To make it even better, each participant receives an LED bracelet that syncs with the music and the other runners during the whole event.
All of these types of runs can be enjoyed by the entire family and are sure to be unforgettable, mind-blowing experiences.
How to Find One
If you’re ready to sign up for a run and want to find one in your area, it’s as easy as a Google search. Start out by looking for the type of run you’re most interested in and pull up the website. From there, each website will have an event calendar, new city announcements, and all the information you need to know if they have a run near you and when it’s happening.
If there isn’t a run right in or around your city, get your friends in on a road trip or look for a different run nearby. There’s a good chance you’ll be able to find a color, electric, or neon run close to where you live.
What to Wear
While there’s no dress code at these runs and you should wear what makes you feel comfortable, why not go all out? Wear something neon, something that will look incredible under black light, or something so colorful that others can’t help but notice. At Electro Threads, we have everything you need to show up in style. From shirts, accessories, drawstring bags, and everything in between, you will feel great as you spread positive vibes to your fellow runners.
You won’t have to worry about feeling comfortable enough to run, as our tees, tanks, and joggers for both men and women are comfortable and stylish at the same time. You will stand out from the starting line and beyond with our brightly colored and unique gear.
If you’re going to participate in a glow-in-the-dark run, we even have LED gloves! These gloves have glow-in-the-dark fingertips and come with GloMax microlights that all turn on and off with one click.
If you want to have the time of your life at these runs, don’t be afraid to go all out with your outfit! Fitting in with the theme will get you pumped to go long before the run actually starts, and the positive vibes you radiate will inspire everyone else to get moving.
Why You Run
No matter which run you sign up for, where it is, or whom you’re with, the most important thing you should ask yourself is why you want to run. If the reason is just because you want to have a great time with friends, that’s awesome. If it’s because you want to prove to yourself you can do it, that’s great too. Celebrate your individuality and discover the reason you’re running.
At Electro Threads, our clothes are about more than just looking good. We want to help you feel great and in turn give off positive vibes to those around you. Whether you wear them during color runs, a music festival, or a regular Tuesday, we hope you’re inspired to live your life with a positive outlook.
