How is sizing this off?

I had heard this brand’s sizing is weird, so I ordered a unisex tee because I have literally never had an issue on sizing with those. I normally wear a L-XL t shirt and when I want it to be oversized, I get a 2x. Thats what I did here, but I don’t think it would fit even if I had gone up another size. They managed to make it too long AND too tight. It fit tighter than a normal large! I really wanted to like this brand despite what people say, but there really is a reason for all of that.
